SPAX, named after the Somerset village, Spaxton, has been making suspension for the past 50 years and is one of the best known suspension manufacturers in the world. By the 1970’s SPAX was the market leader in performance road car suspension in the UK and were the first company to produce on-car adjustable dampers which they have patented.

Spax have manufactured in Jersey, the West Midlands and London before moving to Formula 1 country in Oxfordshire in the 1990’s. Sixteen quality inspectors monitor every stage of the production process and every SPAX manufactured unit is tested on a computer controlled Dynamometer to certify quality and performance. Each SPAX manufactured damper is hand built to the same meticulous standards as their motorsport dampers and all dampers are powder coated and oven baked to guarantee “second to none” quality of finish.
